The Salvation Army is an international movement and part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its mission is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and meet human needs through evangelical, social, and education ministries. It seeks to bring people to the knowledge of and fellowship with Jesus Christ. It is motivated by love to God and compassion for people.
